The Morien Institute - The events of July 16th to 22nd 1994, when the remnants of a fragmenting comet, P/Shoemaker-Levy 9, bombarded the surface of Jupiter causing fireballs many times the size of our own planet, were an abrupt wake-up call even for those who were aware of them. The historical sciences generally, and archæology in particular, have collectively painted a picture of the past as if our planet stands alone in empty space. Nothing could be further from reality. Our restless planet exists in a solar system that has experienced a very dynamic history over the past 20 to 30 millennia, and it is only from this perspective that the true history of human civilisation will ever be fully understood. The events of July 16th – 22nd 1994, when the remnants of a fragmenting comet, P/Shoemaker-Levy 9, bombarded the
surface of Jupiter causing fireballs many times the size of our own planet, were an abrupt wake-up call even for those
who were aware of them. The historical sciences generally, and archæology in particular, have collectively painted
a picture of the past as if our planet ‘stands alone in empty space’. Nothing could be further from reality. Our
restless planet exists in a solar system that has had a very dynamic history over the past 20 millennia or more
and it is only from this wider solar system perspective that the true history of human civilisation can ever
be fully understood. Therefore, The Morien Institute archive contains information from many disciplines

“The Man Who Never Was” & “Operation Heartbreak”

Ewen Montagu

& Duff Cooper

EU English Edition

“In the early hours of 30 April 1943, a corpse, wearing the uniform of an officer in the Royal Marines, was slipped into the waters off the south-west coast of Spain.

With it was a briefcase, in which were papers detailing an imminent Allied invasion of Greece.

As the British had anticipated, the supposedly neutral government of Fascist Spain turned the papers over to the Nazi High Command, who swallowed the story whole.

It was perhaps the most decisive bluff of all time, for the Allies had no such plan: the purpose of ‘Operation Mincemeat’ was to blind the German High Command to their true objective – an attack on Southern Europe through Sicily.

Though officially shrouded in secrecy, the operation soon became legendary

(in part owing to Churchill’s post-war habit of telling the story at dinner).”

“Biological Time”

Bernie Taylor

EU English Edition

“Biological Time presents an extraordinary hypothesis about how plants and animals are timed and the knowledge of this phenomenon by prehistoric, ancient and indigenous people. The work is supported with archeological evidence and a wide range of examples from salmon, deer, and geese to grapes.

Biological Time is for the naturalist, outdoors person, scientist and all those who wonder what clocks nature follows.

The works of art in the cave at Lascaux, France, dating back to 17,000 years ago, were solar-lunar calendars that aided Ice-Age men in knowing when and where to hunt large mammals.

The works of art in the cave at Lascaux, France, dating back to 17,000 years ago, were solar-lunar calendars that aided Ice-Age men in knowing when and where to hunt large mammals. Ancient Mesopotamian calendars and religious rituals were used to time the opportune periods to harvest a wide range of plants and animals.

The solar-lunar calendars and ceremonies of indigenous people on the Northwest Coast of North America and in the South Pacific Islands were primarily designed to gauge when fish are most easily harvested.”
