As of March 31 2008
there are 946 known Potentially Hazardous Asteroids
Why Does This Number Go Up, Then Sometimes Go Down?

Listed below are some of the near-earth environment events due to happen in the first 3 months
of 2008. Many of them will be naked-eye visible, but some may require strong binoculars
or even a small backyard telescope to fully appreciate the celestial event

LD means "Lunar Distance"
1 LD = 384,401 km, the distance between Earth and the Moon. 1 LD also equals 0.00256 AU
MAG is the visual magnitude of the asteroid on the date of closest approach

These are supplemented with news and new discoveries as they arise

Event times are given in "Universal Time" as used by Astronomers
which is the same as Greenwich MeanTime (UK GMT)
